Long time no blog….

Hi Everyone!

Well, I guess my running in the NaBloPoMo is out, unless I cheat and backdate about seven posts! I took my laptop to momma’s and was going to post every morning before the rest of the family woke up. BUT, it only worked for one day. After that I was either too tired or too busy trying to pick up my kids messes from the night before so mom could wake up to a half way decent looking living room.

As usual we ate too much. Probably because mom cooked too much. Not that it bothered me any 🙂 *thanks mom!* Rarely do I get “GOOD” food as am far from being the cook that she is. Over the course of the week I had baked potatoes, steak, burgers, homemade fries, fresh green beans with little taters, fried pork chops, spaghetti, collard greens (YUMMY!!), yeast rolls, turkey, stuffing, homemade mac and cheese, mashed taters, butter beans, yams, brunswick stew (with fresh from the garden veggies!), peanut butter cookies, apple pie, chocolate pie, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, deviled eggs, and sweeet tea!

YEAH BABY!

I should be as big as a house! I’m burning off the calories trying to cook myself 8 head of collard greens to freeze for us this winter. I finally discovered the secret to why my mommas fresh veggies taste better than mine. Two things: side meat rather than fat back and a touch of sugar, to kill the “dirt” taste.

We came home on Saturday but I’m just now getting around to catching up on my blogs and forums. Thank you to everyone who left comments last week, I WILL be responding to each of them soon!

And for the ladies with at Organizing Junkies: I’m still working on the craft room, I got a bug up my you-know-where yesterday though and packed up 1/2 my kitchen…so it’s organized now instead! I did manage to pack a few “craft room” boxes up. I’ll figure out what to toss later, right now it’s going into the attic until after Christmas.

I’m off to go make collards and cut snowflakes!
