Improving upon perfection?

Maybe it’s because I’m pregnant… but I think I have just improved upon my most favorite dish.

I love to make my version of Shepherd’s Pie. It’s not the normal shepherd’s pie, it’s simply some ground beef (with powdered onion soup mix) with a layer of mashed potatoes on top, then layered with corn in a big casserole dish. At first, I really thought the only way to make this any tastier was to add some sort of crust like a pot pie.

However, today for lunch I decided to throw in a little leftovers in my leftovers and OH MY is it g..g…g…g….GOOD!

A scoop of steamed broccoli and some shredded colby jack cheese has made this dish more perfect than it was before! (can something be made “more perfect”)…

I’m definitely going to need my tums for this one.

    That is great! I love it when I make something I normally make all the time; even better. I helped my husband make chili (well I really made it this time)and he tasted it and loved it. I am sure he was thinking it was going to be bland; but it wasn’t. It was rather tasty even though it was ‘hot’ lol.
